Lainbachfall Naturschauspiel am Kochelsee

Der Lainbach ist ein kleiner Bach bei Kochel am See, der in den bayerischen Voralpen ent- springt. Am besten erreicht man ihn über die örtlichen Wanderwege, die allesamt gut be- schildert sind. Als Ausgangspunkt eignen sich entweder das Hotel Alpenhof Postillion oder das Hotel Grauer Bär. Von dort aus beginnt der Wanderweg, der innerhalb von ca. 15 Minuten zum Lainbach führt. Folgt man dem Verlauf des Flusses, so gelangt man nach weiteren 30 Minuten zum Lainbachfall selbst, einem Wasserfall von atemberaubender Schön- heit, der sein Gesicht im Laufe eines Tages mehrfach verwandelt. Am Fuße des Lainbachs ist das Wasser relativ tief, sodass man dort im Sommer auch baden kann. Doch auch im Winter, wenn Teile des Abhangs zugefroren sind, hat der Wasserfall seinen ganz besonde- ren Reiz. Natural wonder at Kochelsee. The Lainbach is a little stream at Kochel am See, originating in the foothills of the Alps. The best way to reach it is via the well-signposted local hiking trails. Two good starting points are the Hotel Alpenhof Postillion or the Hotel Grauer Bär, both of which have hiking trails leading to Lainbach in around 15 minutes. Following the stream, you will reach the breath- taking Lainbach waterfall within about 30 minutes. As the day progresses, the face of the falls chan- ges constantly. At the base of the falls, the water is quite deep, making it possible to swim here in summer. But also in winter, the Lainbach waterfall is very exciting, when it becomes partially frozen.
