Wenn der Englische Garten sich bei gutem Wetter schnell mit Zehntausenden Besuchern füllt und kaum mehr ein Durchkommen ist, bietet sich nördlich des Isarrings, wo sich der Park fast 4 km bis Freimann erstreckt, oft ein ganz anderes Bild. Dort bekommt man problemlos einen Sonnenplatz und hat sogar manche Liegewiese ganz für sich allein. Dieser Teil des Englischen Gartens ist auch der wesentlich größere, naturbelassenere und beschaulichere Abschnitt. Gleich hinter dem Ring beginnt die ruhige Hirschau, die sich mit ihren dichten Wäldern perfekt für einen Spa- ziergang eignet. Der gleichnamige Biergarten ist vor allem bei Radlern beliebt, während sich Spaziergänger mit Hunden gern unweit davon im Biergarten des »Mini-Hofbräuhauses« treffen. When the weather is fine and the English Garden quickly fills up with tens of thousands of visitors, the section north of the Isarring, where the park stretches for almost 4 km, all the way to Freimann, often offers a completely different picture. Here, you can easily find a sunny spot, and sometimes you'll even have an entire lawn to yourself. This part of the English Garden is also the considerably larger, more natural and tranquil section. The peaceful Hirschau, with its thick woods, is perfect for a stroll and begins straight after the Ring. The beer garden of the same name is particularly popular with cyclers, while people walking their dogs love to meet at the nearby »Mini Hofbräuhaus« beer garden.
